I conducted my Directed Fieldwork experience at the A.A. Lemieux Library on the campus of Seattle University under the supervision of Doug Eriksen, the Coordinator of Library Technology. I worked on the four projects listed below. Follow the links to see some examples of what I did.

Computer Science Collection Development Project

The project for this section was to create a core collection of both print and electronic books to support new courses in computer game development and graphics in support of the Computer Science department.

Database Demonstration and Training Tutorials

I created a series of introductory videos showing basic skills in some of the library’s most popular or useful databases.

Public Access Computer Terminals Project

This project consisted of building secure public access computer workstations limited to a subset of the library’s licensed resources, and accessible to walk-in users unaffiliated with the University.

Web Site Development

Received training in the use of the Ektron Content Management System recently adopted by the campus. Assist the library web team in finalizing the migration of the library web site from its current server into the campus’ new CMS.
